Guest Designing at Paru's Card Making Challenges

Hi All!

I am super excited to be guest designing at Paru's Card Making Challenges! The challenge is to make a card or a tag with a Hint of Gold.

I made both a card and a tag to provide some inspirations for the challenge.

Diwali Card :
I love making Diwali cards! Since it's already October I took it as an opportunity to make one. I used Fringed die from MFT and die cut strips of cardstocks in warm colors. I also diecut a strip of Gold foiled cardstock and added in between to add a touch of gold. Then I adhered all the strips to create an Ombre effect.
I also heat embossed Diya Stamps from Mudra's new Diwali release. The sentiment is from Varna's Diwali stamp set which they released last year.

Here is a closure look at the gold + Ombre effect.

Best Wishes Tag :

For the tag, I diecut a watercolor cardstock using Avery Elle Bookmark die and then used Gansai Tambi watercolors for some rainbow effect. I heat embossed the Lacy circle stamp from Waffle Flower using white embossing powder.  For the gold, I heat embossed Honey Bee's Zen Floral Stamps on vellum with gold embossing powder from Ranger and fussy cut the images and created my own bouquet. I added some sentiment and Twine to finish off my tag. It's an any occasion tag which you can use for birthday's, anniversaries, Diwali, etc.

A closer look at the gold effect. The gold embossing on Vellum looks fabulous!

That's it from my side. I hope I inspired you a little today to make some festive projects with a pinch of Gold. I can't wait to see what you guys come up with!

Have a great day!
Happy Crafting!

Adhered vellum, flowers and twine to the base of bookmarks. I hope you will like my creation. Hop on to Indian craft room to see rest of DT inspirations.

MFT Challenge (Color + Sketch)

Hi All,

I am playing along this whole month with The Daily Card maker 30 days February 2016 coloring challenge. We are supposed to color each day even if it's a tiny image. Just 5 mins is enough! So lots of coloring and crafting is happening on my table.

I made the card that I am sharing today using MFT products. The colors in the coloring challenge caught my eyes and the sketch was super. Here is my card.

I have used MFT Patterned Triangles Background stamp, Scribbled Roses dies and Totally happy stamp set. I heat embossed the background with white embossing powder and colored with various distress inks. Don't ask me which ones I used as I didn't had the colors, I just mixed various colors to get the colors as close to color palette of the color challenge.

Here is the color palette of challenge number 38 as well the Sketch for sketch challenge # 226
Here are the links to both the challenges :

1. My Favorite Things - Color Challenge # 38
2. My Favorite Things Sketch Challenge # 266

I hope you liked the card. I would love to hear from you. Please leave a comment if you liked it.

ICRCPREWIN03: CAS Challenge 2nd Inspiration

Hello friends!

This is my second post of the day! Yay! If you are here for ICR Blog hop, follow this link.

This post is a mid checkpoint to remind you all that we have an awesome challenge going on at ICR. We DTs are bringing you second set of inspirations to motivate you all to join in and play if you have not done it already.

About the challenge:
It's all about CAS cards! But as usual we have a twist. the twist is to use something new. Anything you never used before or any technique you wanted to try for long. This is your chance now. Come and play along!

Now the fun part! Prizes!!!
Our sponsor for this time is Craftshop.in and Rs 500 worth goodies as Prize!

We're also announcing a special giveaway for participants who will play our challenges every month consecutively from January to April 2016. It has 2 Paper smooches stamp set, 1 Penny Black stamp set, 2 My Mind's eye paper pads and 4 Simon says stamp min ink pads. If there are more than one, we will do a lucky draw!

Here is my inspiration!

If you know me by now, I have developed a habit.. don't know if it's good or bad, I cannot stop myself at one card.. I made 5 of these! Have a look below!

I used MFT Paisley stencil and distress inks to create the background. Since the stencil is larger than the card size and I wanted a border, I used washi tape to mask the edges. I then stamped the sentiment using PTI wet paint stamp set. Both stencil and sentiment stamp is new from my stash.

I hope you are inspired a little to try CAS cards.. To see complete details regarding this challenge and to check out what my fellow DT has created, please login to ICR.

I would like to enter into following challenges :

1. A Blog Named Hero - One Layer card
2. Paru's cardmaking challenges - "New" - MFT Paisley stencil and PTI Wet paint stampset is new for my stash

Have a great weekend!
Priya.
